Room 301, Monday Afternoon

Isabelle was having trouble focusing.

She didn't even have anything in particular that needed her undivided attention, so it shouldn't have been a problem. But it was annoying. She didn't like moods like this. What was the point of not being able to get lost in doing anything? Ugh. And she'd already been down at the gym training, too. And both her closets were as organized as they were going to get. And she didn't feel like shopping.

So, this was how you ended up pacing around the room like a caged animal. It was not a good look on her.

Maybe she needed to go for a run or something.

"So concerned about the state of your thighs," he joked, shaking his head. "I will do my best to keep my facial hair to a minimum."

"Good puppy," Isabelle replied lightly. One of her hands had stilled, but the other was still idly rubbing his shoulder. She wasn't managing to be completely still right now. "We shouldn't have any problems."

"Hopefully not," he said, tilting his head at her. "You figured out a cure for your boredom yet?"

The rubbing turned into tapping against his shoulder.

"Maybe."

[flickofthewrist]

"So, what is it?" he wondered, curious. "You're so restless right now."

[seveninchmotto]

The tapping got more insistent, even though there was really no good reason for it. Maybe she didn't need to try and cover up her restlessness now that he'd said it aloud.

"Guess."

[flickofthewrist]

"Tapping out a symphony against my shoulder?" he guessed, glancing down.

[seveninchmotto]

"Don't try to get clever," Isabelle told him dryly. "I mean sex."

[flickofthewrist]

"I'm already clever," Flick told her, smirking easily. "There's no trying needed."

[seveninchmotto]

"Well, you're not always as clever as you think you are." Her fingers curled along his shoulder. No more tapping. "But I'm willing to overlook that."

[flickofthewrist]

"Because you want to have sex?" he teased, glancing down at her fingers.

[seveninchmotto]

Isabelle nodded at him. "I suppose that's one reason, yes."

[flickofthewrist]

"Mmm." His arms were still crossed and he was just smiling at her because he could. Maybe waiting to see what move she'd make, if anything.

Isabelle watched him for a moment with her head just barely tilted to the side.

"Unless of course you don't want to have sex," she said lightly. "In which case I'll have to reconsider how much cleverness I can overlook without sending you on your way for the rest of the day."

[flickofthewrist]

"So, it's sex or I'm probably gonna get dismissed?" he asked, matching her head tilt with one of his own. His smile had turned into more of a smirk now, contemplative and half amused.

"Possibly," she replied, to correct his word choice. "I'm sure a case could be made for you having worth in other ways."

He had a ton of worth to her in all kinds of ways. But she was twitchy and restless.

"Interesting." He was being an ass on purpose, pushing those twitchy, restless buttons of her just to see how much initiative and action she'd take.

Or if she'd just get mad at him.

Possibly both. She wasn't great at dealing with her buttons being pushed.

Her eyes narrowed, but she said nothing.

Flick continued smirking but he narrowed his eyes just like she had in an attempt to imitate. He said nothing as well.

Her hands grasped his shoulders a little tighter.

He'd brought that on himself.

He'd had worse than his shoulders being grasped. Didn't bother him too much so he just licked his lips and smirked wider at her. He wasn't smiling but the look in Flick's eyes was definitely amusement.

Of course it was, because he was an ass. And she liked that, even if she wasn't making it very obvious right now. Because there wasn't much affection in the way she manhandled him towards door by his shoulders.

Not to throw him out, but to get the door closed.

And then shove him against it.

Flick hit the door with a muffled thump and now he actually snickered. It hadn't hurt him at all thus the continued pushing and punching of her buttons. He'd walk dangerously for awhile.

He continued not to say anything while he leaned against the door and watched her in bemusement.

Isabelle's hands were still gripping his shoulders, and she leaned in close, her face just a few inches away from his.

"Stop smirking at me."

Flick didn't stop smirking. He licked his lips again and when she got closer, his smirk widened.

"Nah." He shook his head.
