Isabelle was having trouble focusing.

She didn't even have anything in particular that needed her undivided attention, so it shouldn't have been a problem. But it was annoying. She didn't like moods like this. What was the point of not being able to get lost in doing anything? Ugh. And she'd already been down at the gym training, too. And both her closets were as organized as they were going to get. And she didn't feel like shopping.

So, this was how you ended up pacing around the room like a caged animal. It was not a good look on her.

Maybe she needed to go for a run or something.

Isabelle glared at him. "Don't." Her grip was a little tighter for a second, too. But nothing that would leave a mark. And her nails were only digging into his shoulder through his shirt. "You should be more obedient."

"No, I shouldn't," he said and laughed again. Laughed at the glare and the words because she was letting him push those boundaries right now. "Obey you? No need. No desire either."

"So what do you desire, hmm?" she asked, raising her eyebrow while her eyes stayed narrowed. "Or what do you claim to."

[flickofthewrist]

"Oh, I don't know," he said breezily, shrugging as best he could. "Something fun. Something more exciting. Someone more exciting?"

Toe, push, press.

Oops, that was the back of his head meeting the door when she tipped his chin up abruptly. Sorry.

"I don't think you could handle that. You can barely handle me."

Flick made a small sound of surprise but it dissolved into laughter and he flicked his eyes down to her, grinning around her grip.

"If you say so," he laughed, shaking his head slightly. "I think I'm handling you just fine. I think I might even be getting bored."

Push.

Isabelle let go of a breath, and shook her head slowly. "Not before I get bored of you," she said. "Boys like you don't tend to last."

A little push back.

That wasn't a bad little push either. Flick raised an eyebrow but made sure his smirk, his amusement didn't fall. He snickered again.

"Lasted this long, haven't I?" he reminded her. "Boys like me are a weakness for you. You can't stop wanting me."

Isabelle shook her head again. But it was slow and deliberate.

"I could stop," she said, simply. "I could stop whenever."

Flick didn't believe her. He smirked again, added a light, quiet snicker.

"No, you couldn't," he said, all ballsy confidence and pride.

The look on Isabelle's face was bordering on cold.

"There's no way for you to know I haven't already."

[flickofthewrist]

"It doesn't work like that," he told her, shaking his head. "It doesn't just go away and you know it. Empty words, Izzy. Empty."

She promptly squeezed his jaw a little harder.

"If I'm boring you," she told him, "you don't get to call me that."

Flick made another quiet sound and didn't say anything for the moment.

"You can't stop me, Izzy," he said defiantly. "You don't want me to stop."

Yeah, she was going to get back in his face for that. Leaning in all close.

"My name," she hissed, "is Isabelle."

[flickofthewrist]

"Izzy," Flick breathed, smiling almost evilly at her for that one.

[seveninchmotto]

Isabelle pursed her lips at him. "No."

She let go of him, and stepped back.

Flick watched her step away and then straightened up against the door again.

"Izzy," he repeated, tilting his head again. "Leaving so soon?"

Isabelle offered up a mocking little shrug. "Well, you're boring me."

[flickofthewrist]

"I don't think I am," he said, shaking his head. "But, if that's how you want it to be..."

[seveninchmotto]

"You've had your fun," she told him, rolling her eyes.

[flickofthewrist]

"What, you over me now?" Flick asked, crossing his arms. "Stopped caring like you said you would?"

Isabelle mirrored his movement in crossing her own arms, and lifted her chin up.

"Yes."

[flickofthewrist]

"Mmm." He stayed where he was. "So, tell me that. Tell me you don't care about me and you're over me. Make me believe it."

What an impossible task.

But since they were already stuck in this weird game... "I'm done with you," she said, without hesitation. "I'm bored with you, and you don't matter."
