Room 17, Second Floor, Haunted House, Saturday Evening
Isabelle was so very ready to move out of this place. Yes, living on an even tinier island than usual was maybe quaint and all, and she hadn't had to deal with her roommate much at all, and maybe if you squinted, there was something comfortingly familiar about the presence of the supernatural.
But. That last bit especially was so goddamn annoying. See, when Isabelle was trying to take advantage of the fact that her roommate wasn't around, and trying to, you know, relax and enjoy herself a little, all curled up on her bed in her nice pajamas (because being alone was no reason to look anything less than her best) and scrolling through some of the more not safe for the public kind of stuff she had saved on her phone... The last thing she needed was for some disembodied voice to start crying uncontrollably in the corner of her room. Right as she was about to settle down to watch that one video, too. Pretty boys getting it on didn't go with wailing, thank you very much!
And of course, the crying voice was soon joined by another one. And once those quieted down, there was a brief misty figure on the other side of the room.
"Are you done already?"
When she felt a random instance of pure dread rush through her senses, she slumped down on her bed with a great big annoyed sigh. So ready to move out of this damn place.
[ooc: Closed door, open post if you're up for SP. In all honesty I am mostly posting to use at least a portion of an idea I ran out of time to fully use, la.]

She picked her head up off his shoulder again, to see him. "What can I say? I find topics like this highly inspiring."

"Hey," she said. "I'll be fine, Jon. In every way."

She gave him a very light kiss, and murmured, "I'm coming back."
no subject
They might not come back.

"Promise?"
no subject
It was one promise he could let himself make right now.
"I promise."
no subject
It was a soft and slow kiss, whatever the motivation behind it.
no subject
And he meant that which is why he'd made the promise. He fell quiet, returning the kiss.

Her family ring brushed against his skin when her hand slid down from his cheek to the side of his neck. Hadn't gotten to taking her jewelry off yet when she'd changed into her pajamas.

"I would come for you no matter how dangerous," he mumbled against her lips, not even thinking about what he was saying. He was just letting himself talk. "No matter how far you were."
no subject
"Don't know," she murmured back. "I could be pretty far."
Idris, even.

"Sacrifices don't bother me," he reminded her, "I'd figure it out and make it happen."
no subject
He was stubborn, she knew that much.
no subject
"You are enough." That was a statement back from before. "You know how I feel about you, I won't say it so I don't freak you out. But, that's all I need to go to places that I wouldn't go for anyone else. That's all. That's it."
no subject
Because of reasons. Emotional reasons. She didn't say anything for the time being.
no subject
More words for her now that he was closer and his lips were basically pressed against hers while he was talking.
"Nothing else. No promises, no incentives, no rewards. Just you. And I'll push through anything that needs to be dealt with."
no subject
Her arm tightened it's hold a little further, so guess she wasn't running.
no subject
His arm tightened around her waist and he kept his hand against hers. His lips were still pressed against hers, kissing her now that he'd momentarily stopped talking.
"You're enough, baby," he murmured against her lips, speaking up once again. "Please believe me. You're enough. You are."
