Room 17, Second Floor, Haunted House, Saturday Evening

Isabelle was so very ready to move out of this place. Yes, living on an even tinier island than usual was maybe quaint and all, and she hadn't had to deal with her roommate much at all, and maybe if you squinted, there was something comfortingly familiar about the presence of the supernatural.

But. That last bit especially was so goddamn annoying. See, when Isabelle was trying to take advantage of the fact that her roommate wasn't around, and trying to, you know, relax and enjoy herself a little, all curled up on her bed in her nice pajamas (because being alone was no reason to look anything less than her best) and scrolling through some of the more not safe for the public kind of stuff she had saved on her phone... The last thing she needed was for some disembodied voice to start crying uncontrollably in the corner of her room. Right as she was about to settle down to watch that one video, too. Pretty boys getting it on didn't go with wailing, thank you very much!

And of course, the crying voice was soon joined by another one. And once those quieted down, there was a brief misty figure on the other side of the room.

"Are you done already?"

When she felt a random instance of pure dread rush through her senses, she slumped down on her bed with a great big annoyed sigh. So ready to move out of this damn place.

She reached up and ruffled his hair. Then she ran her hair slowly through his hair, just because, her fingers trailing a random route from the back of his head to his temple.

"Haven't seen any ghosts around since you showed up."

"Even my life is too much for ghosts," Flick said, shrugging. "They needed a break."

"Not quite what I was leading up to," Isabelle replied with a wry look, "but okay."

She'd get to what she'd been leading up to in a second, no fear.

[flickofthewrist]

"I didn't think you were leading up to that," Flick assured her, "but I felt like saying it anyway. What were you leading up to, baby?"

"I was leading up to how you should stay the night." See, he didn't have to ask, this time. "Since you're such a natural ghost repellent."

[flickofthewrist]

"But, I didn't bring any pajamas," he noted not at all seriously. "What will I sleep in?"

[seveninchmotto]

Isabelle snickered. "In the nude," she told him, with a mock solemn nod. "Scandalous, I know. But I'm sure you'll survive somehow, baby."

[flickofthewrist]

"And is your roommate out of the room for the night?" Flick asked since if he was going to be sleeping naked, he really didn't need some random dude wandering in.

She shrugged. "Probably." Maybe she should have paid more attention to these things... But she didn't want to. "At least, that's the assumption I was going with when I was trying to have my nice evening in, earlier."

[flickofthewrist]

"I'll stay despite the possibility of being walked in on by your random guy roommate," Flick told her. "I like you that much."

[seveninchmotto]

"Mm, of course you do." No, really, he'd already told her he'd come and find her if she disappeared. So, that was entirely sincere, although she still smirked at him. "I'd say you also like the possibilities that follow from sleeping naked with me."

[flickofthewrist]

"Are you going to be sleeping naked too?" Flick wondered. "Or will it just be me?"

"Which would you prefer?" Isabelle asked without missing a beat.

As if the pajamas she was wearing really even counted as clothing.

[flickofthewrist]

"I have no preference, honestly," Flick said. "You naked is great but those pajamas are pretty themselves."

[seveninchmotto]

"You are useless," she joked with an exaggerated eye roll. "Okay, maybe I'll keep these on, then. It's not as if they don't come off easily enough if one of us changes our mind."

[flickofthewrist]

"Am not," Flick told her, shaking his head. "That sort of decision is not an easy one to make. I can't help it if I like how you look either way."

[seveninchmotto]

"But you'll be sleeping, won't you?" Isabelle pointed out as she began to pull away from him. "What does it matter what I look like?"

[flickofthewrist]

"Then, why'd you ask me?" Flick asked, letting her go and tilting his head.

[seveninchmotto]

"Because I felt like it." She moved to flop down on the bed again, dark hair strewn all around her head against the sheets. "And because I thought it might uncover any desires you might have about things to do before sleep."

[flickofthewrist]

Flick stood there and watched her flop down. He snickered after a moment and came closer to the bed though he didn't join her just yet.

"You were trying to have the nice night in before I got here, right?" Flick asked. "What were you doing?"

Isabelle smirked lazily up at him. "Looking at things on my phone."

Which was still on the bed, next to her.

"Dirty things and good memories, in case you can't guess."

[flickofthewrist]

"And you were going to just watch all those and go to sleep happy?" Flick wondered, amused.

[seveninchmotto]

She rolled her eyes. "Please, do I look that boring?" she asked. "I was going to thoroughly enjoy myself and then go to sleep happy."

[flickofthewrist]

"So, why don't you do that?" Flick asked her, smiling lightly. "And I'll watch."

[seveninchmotto]

Well, she couldn't say she wasn't into it, even if she raised one eyebrow at him. "Like a creeper?"

That was a joke.
